DC Aviation Malta
International Competency & Experience
DC Aviation, a leading name in business aviation, traces its roots back to 1998 when DaimlerChrysler Aviation, a subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG, was established. Renamed DC Aviation in 2007, the company continues a legacy of excellence, safety and performance. Over the years it has become synonymous with comprehensive aviation support, providing a seamless service without the need for external providers.
Operating one of the largest and most diverse business aviation fleets in Europe, DC Aviation is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, with additional offices in Dubai, Malta, Munich and Nice. This strategic presence enables the company to serve regions spanning Europe, the Middle East, India, Pakistan and Africa, cementing its status as a global leader in the industry.
Among its key locations, Malta holds a special place in DC Aviation's operations. Located just five kilometres from Valletta, Malta International Airport is emerging as a major hub for business aviation. The airport's two runways, including the 3,544-metre main runway, facilitate smooth operations, while its 24/7 availability, minimal slot restrictions, ample parking and 300 days of sunshine per year make it highly attractive to business and general aviation.

Since the establishment of DC Aviation Malta in 2008, we have been fully committed to providing first class services to the business aviation community. Our company has always embraced a philosophy of quality, guided by the principle that "what is not good for our own operation is not good for our clients". This ethos reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence. It is this commitment that has seen us make significant investments in executive ramp transport, staff training and the improvement of crew and passenger facilities at Malta International Airport.
Our contribution to the growth of business aviation in Malta goes far beyond our operational services. As a founding member and current President of the Malta Business Aviation Association, I am proud to play an active role in the development of the aviation industry here. Despite the lack of a dedicated general aviation terminal, we ensure that our customers experience the highest standards of service and comfort, no matter what the challenges.
Driven by a passion for quality, DC Aviation continues to set the standard for business aviation. Our blend of innovation, expertise and an unwavering commitment to our customers ensures that we remain at the forefront of the industry. As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our mission to deliver unparalleled service across our global network, with Malta as a shining example of our vision and dedication.
With best wishes,
Stanley Bugeja, Managing Director

Our commitment to a greener future
At DC Aviation Malta, sustainability is not just a goal, it is a responsibility. Under the leadership of Stanley Bugeja, we have embarked on a transformative journey to reduce our environmental impact and make a meaningful contribution to the aviation industry's sustainability efforts. From carbon offsetting to energy-efficient innovations, our initiatives reflect a firm commitment to shaping a greener future:
- Voluntarily offsetting fuel emissions for all FBO customers from 2021
- Working with trusted organisations such as Carbon Trade Exchange (CTX) and AEG Fuels to support credible and impactful projects
- Implementing sustainable solutions, such as advanced lighting systems in hangars, to reduce energy consumption and improve workplace safety
Despite the unavailability of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in Malta, DC Aviation has found ways to take actionable steps. A book and claim agreement with AEG Fuels allows us to offset emissions by purchasing SAF attributes distributed in other locations. This innovative approach ensures that we can actively contribute to sustainability as the SAF infrastructure develops locally.
- Encouraging customers to offset their flights, with strong uptake among those seeking sustainable private travel options.
- Using Malta as a model to extend sustainability initiatives to Stuttgart, Munich and Dubai.
- Hosting carbon neutral events such as the Malta Aviation Conference and Exhibition (MACE) to inspire wider action.
The journey to sustainability is not without its challenges, but at DC Aviation Malta we believe in starting where we can. As Stanley Bugeja says, "Together we can make a difference". By embracing partnerships, empowering customers and continually seeking innovative solutions, we are not just adapting to the future - we are helping to shape it.
